Three Week Musical Residency Debuts on Valentine’s Day

Troupe Productions and the Hard Rock Hotel Announce Six Sensationally Seductive Performances Inspired by Baz Lurhmann’s The Great Gatsby Soundtrack

Special Valentine’s Day Dinner Packages Now Available at Sessions Restaurant

(PALM SPRINGS, CA) – Jan. 2014 – “I like big parties. They’re so intimate.” Jordan Baker emphatically declares in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby…and this February, the Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs couldn’t agree more.  After a sold-out New Year’s Eve performance, Troupe Productions has reassembled the multi-talented cast and will bring the music extravaganza back to the Hard Rock Hotel’s Woodstock Room for six encore performances over three weekends, with the show roaring back to the stage on Friday, Feb. 14 – Valentine’s Night. Six nights to celebrate the Roarin’ 20’s in a 21st century mindset; an intimate concert with sultry song and dance, and six chances to party alongside Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby soundtrack as it’s brought to life by the cast of The Edge Series.  Tickets for all shows are on sale now at, and special dinner/show packages at Sessions Restaurant are now available.

What originally debuted as a one-time soiree on New Year’s Eve will again transform the Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs into a speakeasy concert venue on February 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd, 28th, and March 1st. For over 60 minutes, audiences play voyeur to hits from Lurhmann’s The Great Gatsby soundtrack, including Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful,” Jay-Z & Kanye West’s “No Church in the Wild,” and Fergie’s “A Little Party Never Killed Nobody,” as well as hits from the Roarin’ 20’s Broadway production The Wild Party.

“We want our guests to have a memorable and distinctive experience when they come to the Hard Rock Hotel,” says Hector Moreno, vice president and general manager for the Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs.  “The Edge Series shows have brought live entertainment to a new level in the heart of downtown Palm Springs and Rockin’ The Gatsby is a visual and sensory experience that celebrates the rock ‘n roll spirit through the ages…just like the Hard Rock.”

“Rockin’ The Gatsby is a night of sensory excess with seductive era costumes and booming confetti cannons,” adds Troupe Productions partner and show producer Trini Garza. “It’s our best and wildest production to date.  The response on New Year’s Eve was so incredible that we just had to bring the show back.”
